Crystal Pang co-founded Effex with a vision to transform how businesses operate through AI-native solutions. As CEO, she leads the company's strategic direction, investor relations, and go-to-market strategy across the APAC region.
With over 20 years of cross-disciplinary experience spanning software engineering, banking, fintech, and startup operations, Crystal brings a unique perspective on building at the intersection of technology and business. Her extensive global footprint—having worked across Boston, Osaka, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore—deeply informs her understanding of enterprise pain points and drives Effex's product roadmap and customer acquisition strategy.
Crystal has been instrumental in securing backing from leading venture and MNC investors across APAC, including Jardines, DFI, Reefknot Investments, Cathay Ventures, Swire Properties, Cornerstone VC, VisionPlus Capital, Cyberport, and SparkLabs Taiwan.
Prior to Effex, Crystal spent 9 years as the Co-Founder and CEO of Pickupp, successfully scaling the technology platform across multiple markets. Her formidable background includes key leadership and analytical roles, such as Senior Operations Manager at Uber and Deputy CEO at Chinascope Financials. She also brings robust financial and technical expertise from her time as an Associate at Merrill Lynch, an Analyst at Credit Suisse, and a Software Engineer at The Mathworks. Crystal holds an MS in Biomedical Engineering and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
